The official Morehouse Multimedia Center had its grand opening on Wednesday (September 23), full with a correct ribbon-cutting ceremony to launch this system. The main goal is to present a artistic space for aspiring journalists and content creators to elevate their abilities in the areas of digital storytelling, sports activities broadcasting, podcasting, filmmaking and rising media technology. The Center comes full with a vary of skilled gear at their disposal, and will even be taught on how to use it by method of skilled content creators.
As talked about in the social post seen above, Jordan Brand initially donated a cool $1 million to Morehouse back in 2021 with hopes that it could increase journalism and sports-related research. This led to the HBCU formally launching its journalism major in 2022, which has not only benefitted the scholars but also made method for college to digitize their research for broader publicity.
Spearheaded by Center Director Professor Emani R. Saucier, The Morehouse Multimedia Center is already producing award-winning content by method of on-campus newspaper, The Maroon Tiger.
