Iran destroys US radar in devastating attack | Political News

Iranian media on Monday has claimed that Iran’s navy has attacked a former American base and destroyed its trendy radar system.

Reports said the attack was launched against the Kharab al-Jir base close to Rmelan in japanese Syria. American forces earlier this yr reportedly started withdrawing from the bottom as the Syrian authorities started reclaiming the northeastern stretches of its nation, according to AFP News.

The U.S. Military had earlier withdrew from two other bases: Al-Tanf in the southeast and Shadadi in the northeast. “Within a month, they will have withdrawn from Syria and there will no longer be any military presence in the bases,” a Syrian authorities official said in February.

Other reviews of Monday’s attack said Iran launched kamikazee drones on the bottom, though its unclear who was occupying it. As many as six drones hit the bottom, according to reviews.

The reported attack comes as Iranian officers denied Donald Trump‘s accounts that the U.S. and Tehran have held peace talks in current days.

Trump had announced that both sides held “productive” talks that led him to delay strikes on Iran’s power infrastructure for 5 days. The announcement got here just 48 hours before Trump’s deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz was set to expire.

On Truth Social, the president said the talks had been a step toward “total resolution.”

“I AM PLEASE TO REPORT THAT THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, AND THE COUNTRY OF IRAN, HAVE HAD, OVER THE LAST TWO DAYS, VERY GOOD AND PRODUCTIVE CONVERSATIONS REGARDING A COMPLETE AND TOTAL RESOLUTION OF OUR HOSTILITIES IN THE MIDDLE EAST,” he wrote.

Shortly after, two Iranian shops with ties to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps pushed back on Trump’s assertion.

“No negotiations have taken place and none are underway. … With this kind of psychological warfare, neither the Strait of Hormuz will return to prewar conditions nor will calm return to energy markets,” the Tasnim news company reported.

“Since the start of the war, messages have been sent to Tehran by some mediators, but Iran’s clear response has been that it will continue its defence until the required level of deterrence is achieved,” accoring to Tasnim.

After Trump’s announcement, Brent crude oil costs dropped to $96 a barrel briefly while gasoline costs continued to rise in the U.S., according to petroleum analyst Patrick De Haan.

“conflicting headlines- oil markets will eventually sniff out the truth and react accordingly,” De Haan wrote on X reacting to the perimeters’ differing accounts.
