Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed his two main goals for the Iran war.
Israel and the United States launched a joint army operation against Iran on Feb. 28, dubbed Operation Epic Fury for Americans and Operation Roaring Lion for Israelis, which has wiped out Iran’s top management and focused its nuclear and police services. For many years, Netanyahu has warned of the menace that he believes Iran’s nuclear program poses to Israel and the world.
It comes practically a yr after Israel carried out a major 12-day army operation against Iran, during which it focused Iran’s nuclear services starting mid-June.
During the 12-day war, U.S. President Donald Trump equally assisted Israel, carrying out strikes on Iranian nuclear services. At the time, Trump declared victory and claimed he “totally obliterated” Iran’s nuclear capacities.
While visiting the town of Arad, a numerous Israeli metropolis where more than 80 people have been injured after Iranian missiles struck a residential building, Netanyahu disclosed his two priorities for the Iran war. Nearby southern desert city of Dimona was also hit.

“We’ve outlined two clear objectives,” Netanyahu exclusively told Fox & Friends’ Trey Yingst on Sunday.
“One is to break utterly their nuclear program, break utterly their missile program, break utterly their capability to produce the parts for both of these applications, and we’re all on our manner to attaining it,” he said.
“We’ve also set a purpose for creating situations for the Iranian people to overthrow this tyranny that has tormented them and made life depressing. It’s making life depressing for the whole world, and I hope we obtain that, too.”
During that same visit, Netanyahu railed against Iran for targeting civilian areas within the past 48 hours, including civilians in Arad as well as holy sites in Jerusalem. He said it is a “miracle” that nobody was killed.
“They are doing it as a mass homicide weapon. Luckily, no one was killed. But that was due to luck, not their intention. Their intention is to homicide civilians,” he boldly claimed.
Netanyahu claimed that Iran has the capacity to reach deep within Europe, noting that it has already struck Cyprus.
He also condemned Iran for striking the U.S.-U.K. military base on Diego Garcia and for its blockade of shipments in the Strait of Hormuz, claiming Iran is “attempting to blackmail the whole world” as global fuel prices surge from the blockade.
“What more proof do you need that this regime that threatens the whole world has to be stopped. Israel and the United States are working together for the whole world.”
Echoing Trump, he called on world leaders to join the fight and expressed optimism that some are beginning to do so but urged more to get involved.
“President Trump’s call to have the worldwide neighborhood confront this terrorist, fanatic regime of zealots. It’s not only for the security of America and Israel but also for the security of the whole world. And it is time for them to act.”
He warned Iran that Israel will respond with “great drive” to its strikes on Israeli civilians but vowed not to hit civilians.
It comes after more than 175 people were killed and 95 were injured at Iran’s Shajareh Tayyebeh elementary school in Minab during the initial strikes on Iran. The school is located near a military base of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Iran accused the U.S. and Israel of launching the strike, though both have denied the accusation.
The strike remains under investigation, though initial reports suggest that the school was struck with a Tomahawk missile accidentally by the U.S. due to a targeting error, Al Jazeera stories.
