New satellite tv for pc photographs show that while Iran has began reconstructing missile manufacturing sites struck by Israel in June, a major element stays lacking.
The photographs by Planet Labs PBC, which had been analyzed by The Associated Press, show that huge mixers used to create stable fuel for the weapons are lacking.
The pictures from September show reconstruction works of mixing buildings at both the Parchin and Shahroud amenities, which had been focused by Israel during its 12-day warfare with Iran in June.
Missile consultants told AP that acquiring the mixers is a key intention for Iran as the nation prepares for sanctions to be reimposed on it over its nuclear program next week.
Tehran is trying to interact in talks with European nations to stop the reimposition from happening.
Speaking at the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian blamed the US and Israeli assaults on its nuclear sites for “dealing a grievous blow” to peace talks.
“You all bore witness that this past June, my country was subjected to a savage aggression and flagrant contravention of the most elementary principles of international law,” Pezeshkian said.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei rejected any nuclear talks with the United States on Tuesday.
“The US has announced the results of the talks in advance,” he said. “The result is the closure of nuclear activities and enrichment. This is not a negotiation.”
France, Germany and the United Kingdom in August started a so-called “snapback mechanism” to reinstate sanctions. It began a 30-day window for the resumption of sanctions, which ends Sunday, unless Iran reaches a deal with Europe.
European nations have said that they’d lengthen the deadline if Iran resumes direct talks with the US over its nuclear program, permits UN nuclear inspectors access to its nuclear sites, and accounts for the more than 880 kilos of extremely enriched uranium that the UN watchdog says it has.
