JD Vance has revealed particulars about his intense fitness routine that helped him drop 30lbs, though the vice-president admits there’s still one food weak point he struggles to overcome.

Speaking on the Katie Miller Podcast, the vice-president boasted about exercising up to 5 instances each week, explaining “So I’ll work out after the kids go to bed. Most nights that I work out, it’s after the kids go to bed,”.

The disclosure emerged as he shared his ‘sacred’ technique for juggling parenting obligations with his vice-presidential obligations.

Outlining his favored workout schedule, Vance explained: “I try to do, I’ve been pretty good about this even as VP, I try to do two to three days of weightlifting and a day or two of cardio.

“So a good week is I’ll work out 5 days, a unhealthy week I’ll work out three. But it is that same basic combine.”

The vice president also disclosed he’s dedicated to a popular dietary strategy. He noted: “After the Senate marketing campaign, so a few years in the past, I received actually into intermittent fasting.”

Intermittent fasting doesn’t emphasize what you eat, but rather regulates when you consume meals.

This dietary method limits food consumption to designated timeframes, featuring different approaches like the 16:8 strategy (fasting 16 hours, eating within eight) or the 5:2 method (regular eating five days, restricted calories two days).

Vance’s strategy involves eliminating one daily meal. “I attempt to eat two meals a day. I’ll often eat lunch and dinner,” he revealed.

Combined with intermittent fasting, the 41-year-old works to maintain a nutritious, balanced dietary approach.

“I attempt to be as healthy as I can, proper? Loads of inexperienced greens, a lot of lean protein,” he explained.

However, Vance admitted he sometimes gives in to cravings, particularly regarding his greatest weakness. He added, “But I also have a horrible candy tooth. So, if I eat terribly, it is often like I’ll have, , a few scoops of ice cream at some level in the day or a number of factors of the day. Like, that’s my poison is ice cream.”

He mentioned implementing specific changes to reduce his sugar intake. “I really used to do sugar and cream and espresso. I largely just drink it black now because I attempt to again I’m making an attempt to be good and it is exhausting to be good with those liquid calories. So, I do what I can,”.

The vice president’s disciplined routine seems to have delivered outcomes. While campaigning last August, Vance disclosed he had shed 30lb.
