Jimmy Kimmel says germany offered him a job – TV | TV Shows

Late-night discuss show host Jimmy Kimmel returned to ABC with a new episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Sept. 23, after the community “indefinitely” suspended him last week, claiming he was offered jobs in different international locations during his absence.

On Sept. 17, ABC pulled Jimmy Kimmel Live! off the air last minute, hours after the pinnacle of the FCC recommended the community’s broadcast license was in hassle because of Kimmel’s feedback about Charlie Kirk’s assassination during his opening monologue for his Sept. 15 episode.

Now, after a number of petitions have been made in an effort to return Kimmel to the community, as many of his fellow late-evening discuss show hosts have stepped up to help him, Kimmel has returned and opened up about his suspension.

“I heard from late-night hosts in other countries, from Ireland and from Germany,” he opened his show with.

He added, “The guy in Germany offered me a job. Can you imagine?”

“The MAGA Gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said, before including, “In between the finger-pointing, there was grieving.”

FCC Chairman Brendan Carr said Kimmel’s feedback have been “truly sick,” and explained that networks must have a license to broadcast granted by the FCC. He added that there was a “strong case” for motion against ABC and Disney.

After Carr’s statements, Nexstar Media Group Inc. said it will stop airing Kimmel’s show on its ABC associates due to his “offensive and insensitive” statements.

ABC announced the suspension soon after. “Jimmy Kimmel Live will be pre-empted indefinitely,” an ABC spokesman announced Wednesday evening.
