Jonathan Bailey, 37, was named the 2025 “intimacyiest Man Alive” by People magazine.
Page Six broke the news hours before the official announcement occurred Monday evening on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

The “Wicked: For Good” star told Fallon, 51, that being chosen for the title is “the honor of a lifetime” and that he’s “still giggling” about it.
Bailey explained that he discovered the thrilling news earlier this 12 months while doing Shakespeare’s “Richard II.”
“For those of you who don’t know, it’s not a comedy,” he said about the manufacturing. “I think we were 30 shows into 103 shows. I was in the zone. So you go slightly mad, and the only thing madder than doing ‘Richard II’ is being invited into this.”

“And also in 2025, I’m sort of thrilled People magazine has invited someone in to bestow this honor on someone who can really cherish the value of a sexy man,” the “Bridgerton” star added.
Bailey also admitted that he drunkenly told some of his mates on a journey that he was the “intimacyiest Man Alive.”
“They were like, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah, do your affirmations,’” he said with a snigger.

In his interview with People, Bailey said that a lot of his mates will “be furious” he didn’t give them a heads up about his new title.
“And then they’ll just squeal with delight,” he told the outlet. “They’ve seen me grow up. Behind the mask of being identified as a sexy man are other truths that they know and they’ve witnessed. They know the secrets.”

The “Jurassic World Rebirth” actor also shared that he needs to be a dad someday “if the planets align” and that his excellent date “totally depends” on how new the connection is.
“I love a walk, I do love dinner, theater, films. It depends what number date,” he explained. “You know, if it’s like date 100, then like Legos, although we Brits say it singular ‘Lego,’ and pizza. Some of my best dates have been Lego dates.”

At the end of the interview, Bailey gushed that he feels “incredibly lucky” in his life proper now.
“Life is a ride for everyone no matter who you are, where you come from,” he said “It’s just making sure that when you’re in the ride, you’re looking left and right and making sure everyone’s all right. And give them a high-five along the way if they need it.”

Bailey is the first brazenly homosexual man to be named People magazine’s “intimacyiest Man Alive.” The latest recipients of the prize had been John Krasinski in 2024, Patrick Dempsey in 2023, Chris Evans in 2022 and Paul Rudd in 2021.
