Ryan Routh, the man who tried to assassinate President Donald Trump on a Florida golf course, was sentenced to life in prison on Wednesday.
The Associated Press reported that U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon delivered the verdict to Routh in the same courtroom that he once tried to take his own life in September, when he was discovered guilty of all fees. It was reported that prosecutors had requested Judge Cannon for life without parole.
