Justin Thomas at peace with his painful PGA…
NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. — The ready was the toughest half.
“I did my half,’’ Justin Thomas said after capturing a 5-under-par 65 to post 5 under as the chief in the clubhouse in the PGA Championship Sunday at Aronimink Golf Club.
Thomas’ closing spherical ended at 3:05 p.m., with the lead teams just having teed off the earlier half hour or so.
On a day when it seemed like no one was going to break from the pack of a clustered leaderboard, possibly it was going to be Thomas coming away with the third PGA Championship of his profession.
