Katrina Kaif’s followers have been eagerly ready to see the actress return to the big screen after her last theatrical release, Merry Christmas (2024), alongside Vijay Sethupathi. Following the announcement of her being pregnant in September 2025 and the delivery of her son in November the same yr, hypothesis surrounding her performing comeback has remained strong.
The latest spherical of rumours recommended that Katrina had been forged reverse Prabhas in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s much-awaited motion drama Spirit. The reviews also claimed that the movie would mark her return to Telugu cinema after practically twenty years, leaving followers excited about the likelihood.
However, it seems that the hypothesis has no foundation. A well-placed industry source has dismissed the reviews, calling them “completely inaccurate and misleading.”
The source said, “There is absolutely no truth to the claims being made about Katrina Kaif’s future acting plans. The report is based entirely on speculation and misinformation, with no verification.” The clarification places an end, at least for now, to the rumours linking the actress with one of the most anticipated movies at the moment in manufacturing.
Interestingly, Spirit has remained in the highlight ever since it was announced, with its casting producing frequent headlines. Over the past few years, a number of reviews have linked different actors to the project. Earlier, there have been rumours that star couple Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan have been being thought of for important roles in the movie.
The project later grew to become the subject of widespread dialogue after Deepika Padukone reportedly exited the movie. Industry reviews recommended that the actress stepped away following disagreements over remuneration and work circumstances. She was subsequently changed by Triptii Dimri, who beforehand collaborated with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga in Animal.
Besides Prabhas and Triptii Dimri, Spirit also stars Vivek Oberoi in a pivotal function. The movie is at the moment one of the most awaited releases from Vanga and is slated to hit theatres on March 5, 2027.
