Liberty sign veteran Stephanie Talbot as WNBA…

The Liberty are including a veteran bench presence to kick off the second half of the season.

Forward Stephanie Talbot is becoming a member of the defending WNBA champions, the staff introduced Monday, one week after she was waived by the Valkyries.

Talbot, 31, reportedly signed a contract for the remainder of the yr.

It reunites Talbot with her former Mercury coach and present Australian national staff coach, Sandy Brondello, now in her fourth season as coach of the Liberty.

The addition of Talbot — which brings the Liberty’s roster back up to 12 gamers — comes while Emma Meesseman stays the league’s most coveted free agent.
