However, the specifics of this potential agreement remain unclear. McDowell, a three-time Ryder Cup champion, joined the LIV circuit in its inaugural season in 2022.

In 2024, the Northern Irishman reaffirmed his decision to join LIV Golf, stating: “Certainly no regrets. I haven’t got any personal regrets… I feel in the end we will come out the opposite facet of this with the sport of golf in great form.”
