Loose Womens Kaye Adams axed from BBC radio show after | UK News
Loose Women star Kaye Adams is not going to be returning to her £155,000 a yr BBC Radio job after allegations of bullying have been upheld against her. The presenter, 63, was discovered guilty of three misconduct claims: swearing at a colleague, throwing a pen at somebody and berating an intern’s skilled potential, a disciplinary probe discovered.
Adams is alleged to have used the c-word against a colleague over a decade in the past, while she is believed to have launched a pen at a producer in frustration over an upcoming show. The incidents reportedly left her co-workers feeling humiliated and distressed, inflicting one to not show up for work the next day. Two separate complaints of bullying weren’t upheld. Adams has denied any wrongdoing, arguing her “assertiveness” might have been mistaken for bullying.
Staff members who labored on her show, Mornings with Kaye Adams, have been told a week in the past that she wouldn’t be returning to the station.
One former colleague believes the BBC has taken motion against Adams too late.
They said: “Senior producers acknowledged how difficult she was but did very little to protect the staff team from the excesses of her behaviour. Tears were common and stress levels through the roof, for everyone.”
It comes after she was formally suspended in October, with the presenter initially claiming that she was unaware of the explanation why and what the allegations against her have been.
Admitting she was “blindsided” by the allegations, Adams told the Daily Mail: “I can’t even describe it, it just feels like layers of my skin have been torn off, to be honest. I certainly never saw this one coming.”

While they didn’t remark on the person case, a BBC Scotland spokesperson said: “With regard to the presentation line-up on Mornings With, Kaye Adams will not be returning to this role.
“In the rapid future, Connie McLaughlin will continue to current Mornings With on Mondays to Wednesdays, with Stephen Jardine presenting on Thursdays and Fridays.”
This has not changed anything in regards to Adams’ working relationship with ITV, with the broadcaster confirming last year that she would be remaining on Loose Women despite the allegations.
Broadcaster and DJ Grant Stott is expected to be replacing Adams, the Mail has reported.
