Donald Trump is over-the-moon after incumbent Senator Bill Cassidy misplaced Louisiana’s Republican major election. The president reveals he still has a strong grip over the get together following the victory of Trump-backed Congresswoman Julia Letlow and Louisiana Treasurer John Fleming.

In a enormous victory for the president, the 2 candidates are projected to advance to the runoff election scheduled for June 27.

Taking to Truth Social to share his feeling on the scenario, the president wrote: “Bill Cassidy, after falsely using his ‘relationship’ with me during his political career, and winning Elections because of it, voted to impeach me on preposterous charges that were fake then, and now are criminally insane!

“How disloyalty to the man who got him elected is now a part of legend, and it is nice to see that his political career is OVER!” Cassidy obtained into scorching water with the president on February 13, 2021, when he grew to become one of seven Republican senators voting to convict Trump following the January 6 assault on the US Capitol.

Cassidy’s transfer blacklisted him from the MAGA base nearly right away and set in movement a years-long effort to change him, which only intensified when Trump returned to the White House for his second time period. The president, instead, endorsed Congresswoman Julia Letlow back in January, congratulating her on her win this weekend.

“Congratulations to Congresswoman Julia Letlow on a fantastic race, beating an Incumbent Senator by Record Setting Numbers. This is the first time in History that a sitting Senator has lost by such large numbers in a Primary, unable to even go forward,” Trump penned on Truth Social.

After accepting defeat, Cassidy hit back at Trump with a thinly veiled dig, insinuating he was unbothered by assaults on the web from people without character.

“When you participate in democracy, sometimes it doesn’t turn out the way you want it to. But you don’t pout. You don’t whine. You don’t claim the election was stolen,” he told his supporters as they erupted in cheers of help. You don’t manufacture some excuse. You merely thank the voters for the privilege of representing the state.”

Saturday’s major has now narrowed the sector down to two candidates, setting up a run off on June 27.

For Trump, the race is a major check of his endorsement energy in a state he dominates electorally, and a personal likelihood to full what his allies say is a political accountability project concentrating on Republicans who broke with him after January 6.

His endorsement efforts hope to unfold to Kentucky this week where he hopes to oust Representative Thomas Massie on Tuesday.

In a late evening Truth Social posted at 5.40am, the president wrote: “Tom Massie of Kentucky, the worst and most unreliable Republican Congressman in the history of our Country, is an even bigger insult to our Nation than Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, who suffered an unprecedented loss tonight by not even being allowed to run in the Republican Primary.

“Very disloyal, but Tom Massie, a major sleazebag, is even worse! Kentycky, get this LOSER out of politics in Tuesday’s Election.”

Trump seems to be endorsing Ed Gallrein, who he desrcibes as “a successful Kentucky farmer, and American War Hero, who only ran because he thought Massie was so disloyal and disrespectful to your President, ME!”

“This is a great man, Central Casting, in fact, who truly deserves to represent the fantastic people of Kentucky. ED WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
