Meghan Markle is going through allegations from a Daily Mail journalist of being “unnecessarily aggressive” in messages despatched regarding the reporter’s presence at her father, Thomas Markle’s bedside following his latest leg amputation.

The Duchess of Sussex, 44, has been estranged from her father since her marriage to Prince Harry in 2018, after he was discovered staging paparazzi pictures forward of her wedding ceremony.

Now, amid reviews that she and Prince Harry have also been “dumped by everyone” in Hollywood, Markle is going through new accusations of poor conduct, after reporter Caroline Graham shared her perspective on an ongoing dispute over her relationship with the previous lighting designer.

Caroline has been candid about the friendship she has had with Thomas, 81, over the years, one that developed after she first interviewed him about the rift between him and his daughter.

‘Aggressive’ messages under scrutiny

Now, in a damning article, she criticised the Duchess for allegedly having her workforce ship “aggressive” messages in the direction of Caroline, as she claims she tried to help Thomas reconnect with his daughter in latest weeks.

In her Daily Mail article, Caroline states that while the Suits alum’s PR workforce said they’d called a number of hospitals making an attempt to discover him, and also despatched an electronic mail, the handle they claimed to have used was one he hadn’t used in years.

She then revealed that after she informed them that Thomas hadn’t heard from Meghan, the Duchess’s workforce was “unnecessarily aggressive” in the direction of her. She directed them to liaise with the Daily Mail’s editors and legal workforce relating to any points they’d.

She also steered that she had supplied to distance herself from Thomas if it will facilitate his reconciliation with Meghan.

“Painful as that would be-and we both had tears in our eyes as we discussed it again last week-it would be impossible for him to reconcile with her while having a friend in the media, particularly one in the British Press, for which Prince Harry has repeatedly expressed his disdain,” she said.

Meghan’s extraordinary accusations

Her assertions come after Meghan’s workforce confirmed that she did ship her father a letter, in a assertion accusing Caroline of “breaching clear ethical boundaries.”

“Given that a Daily Mail reporter has remained at her father’s bedside throughout, broadcasting each interaction and breaching clear ethical boundaries, it has been exceedingly difficult for the Duchess to contact her father privately, despite her efforts over the past several days,” the assertion read.

“With the support of reliable and trusted contacts, her correspondence is now safely in his hands,” the assertion continued.

Caroline confirmed that she was current when the letter was delivered, but admitted she did not delve into the main points inside.
