Are we to believe she has suddenly become a different person? She’s freelance, so they could have just said, ‘This isn’t working out’. It doesn’t make sense, unless the BBC just wanted her out and didn’t want to be accused of ageism and sexism as it has been in the past.”

Kaye is not going to be resuming her position on her BBC Scotland radio show. Adams was eliminated from her morning radio programme, Mornings With, back in October. The choice was allegedly made in mild of accusations concerning her conduct, although the BBC has refrained from commenting on the specifics. The BBC’s Call It Out scheme is thought to have been utilised to lodge the criticism. This initiative was established to sort out inappropriate conduct in the office, following the controversy surrounding former MasterChef host Gregg Wallace.

Kaye mentioned her expertise on her podcast, How To Be 60, in the direction of the end of last 12 months. Speaking with co-host Karen MacKenzie, she acknowledged: “I have to warn you if you’re here for the laughs you might be disappointed because we have both had the s****iest weeks ever, albeit for very different reasons.”

When requested about her emotions, Kaye responded sarcastically: “Oh, I’m great!” She talked about that she had been rising later as she hasn’t been on the show, that means her accomplice Ian Campbell’s alarm now rings before hers.

She continued: “I tell you what I’m finding hard is not sleeping cos I love my sleep and I’m not sleeping so well. I tell you something – this is gallows humour – because I’m not getting up at 6am like I used to, it’s Ian’s alarm that goes off first.
