MIAMI — Reed Garrett woke up last Saturday with jitters. 

The Mets have been getting ready to face the Giants in Queens that afternoon, and Garrett was almost 1,200 miles eliminated from the scene, about to face hitters in an empty ballpark at the workforce’s advanced in Port St. Lucie, Fla. 

“I had nerves and excitement to go to the field,” the reliever told The Post before the Mets confronted the Marlins on Tuesday.
