I do know that President Trump is in Alaska today to meet with Russian President Putin to talk about Ukraine, yet Trump has not forgotten about what goes on right here in the United States in the mainland U.S.
He never would do that because that would NOT make America Great Again if he did.

Last week, while monitoring overseas conflicts around the world, President 45 & 47 also took time to focus on issues back home right here in the United States. He met quietly with a Democrat who also occurs to be the Governor of Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer.
I still live in this blue state (yes, it’s), and Michigan is still tied to the automotive world. Gov Whitmer, in close to her closing yr(s) in workplace, is wanting to get some of the tariffs decreased on the automotive sector that Detroit and the State of Michigan still rely on drastically.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer met privately in the Oval Office with President Donald Trump to make a case he didn’t need to hear: The automotive industry he said he needs to save was being harm by his tariffs.

Democrats always pull for tariffs without analyzing the state of affairs. Donald Trump is attempting to break up the distinction right here and gain open markets for American merchandise that we produce and need to promote across the globe.
White House spokesman Kush Desai said no other president “has taken a higher curiosity in restoring American auto industry dominance than President Trump.” Trade frameworks negotiated by the administration would open up the Japanese, Korean and European markets for vehicles made on assembly lines in Michigan, Desai said.
I’m more of the school of negotiating that what we perceive as unfair tariffs quietly behind the scenes, when we get assessed charges that we feel are unfair, we negotiate the tariff lower. Donald Trump, on the other hand, makes it a talking point and wants to make sure that as many people understand why he is doing what he is doing.
I have to admit this has been kind of hard for me to adjust to.
Whitmer’s two earlier conferences with Trump resulted in features for Michigan. But the tariffs symbolize a considerably broader request of a president who has imposed them even more aggressively in the face of criticism.
Now, is Governor Gretchen the particular person I would like negotiating with the President of the United States on something? Not actually.
Yet on this thought, her instincts are appropriate, and I’ll cut her just a bit of slack. Trump at least can tolerate her, which in the end bodes properly for the people of the State of Michigan if one thing optimistic comes from it. Fingers crossed.
I’m not about including prices to items bought right here at home, yet if we are able to decrease the value total across the board, I might be down for that.
