Mick Jagger relished the concept, but it seems that John Lennon persuaded him not to meet the King. The Rolling Stones frontman made the reveal in a new interview with Conan O’Brien.
The 82-year-old told Conan: “I remember John telling me, ‘You should never meet your heroes. I would never meet Elvis, Mick, if I were you.’” The King had been Lennon’s rock n’ roll hero growing up and the Beatles had been fairly nervous when assembly him.
