Marjorie Taylor Greene’s social media meltdown following Thomas Massie’s defeat on Tuesday concerned the declare that the future of the Republican celebration had been “destroyed.”

Greene was in the minority amongst her fellow Republicans, as her former coworkers and Trump’s top officials continued to paint Massie as a problem, and celebrate his ousting after serving as the representative for his district since 2012.
Greene beforehand called out JD Vance, saying his declare that Massie “always votes against the party” was “disappointing.”
In his concession speech, Massie said voters had indicated they wanted someone who would “go along to get along”, but said, “There is a craving in this nation for any person who will vote for ideas over celebration.”
“If the legislative branch always votes whichever way the wind is blowing, then we have mob rule,” Massive added.
Massie said that he had a history of voting with Trump “90% of the time,” pointing out that the president and his allies “need 100% compliance.”
“It’s only the 10% of the time they’re mad about – when I won’t vote for a war, when I won’t vote for warrantless spying and when I won’t vote to bankrupt the country,” Massie said.
Others within the Republican celebration bandwagoned with Trump, issuing brutal jabs at Massie. Senator Lindsey Graham wrote in a post on X, “The energy of Donald Trump is real.”
Massie fired back at GOP Rep. Erin Houchin of Indiana wrote, “Happy to deliver the news to President @realDonaldTrump the results from the KY Primary and his defeat of Thomas Massie. Well done, @TeamTrump! Congratulations @EdGallrein!”
Massie hit back, writing, “How do his boots taste?”
