It’s not unusual for groups to undergo injuries over the course of the season, but the quantity of video games missed by Liberty gamers is staggering.
Jonquel Jones only not too long ago returned to the lineup after lacking a month of motion with an ankle damage. Sabrina Ionescu, Natasha Cloud and Leonie Fiebich have all missed time, too.
The Liberty are presently enjoying without Breanna Stewart, Kennedy Burke and Nyara Sabally, who are all sidelined for the foreseeable future.

There’s some motive for optimism, with Emma Meesseman in place to probably make her Liberty debut Sunday in Connecticut.
The hope is that her high basketball IQ, paired with familiarity of the model of play and some of the teammates, makes this a painless transition for the staff that’s in determined need of the enhance.
Another constructive is that, despite going 8-10 over the previous eight weeks, the Liberty (17-10) stay second in the league standings, though the Dream and Mercury aren’t too far behind them now.

In the aftermath of Friday’s defeat, the Liberty had been oddly calm.
They mentioned the possession recreation and how tough it was to match the Sun’s physicality. Ionescu even defended the staff’s efficiency, saying effort wasn’t the problem in the 16-point loss to the league’s worst staff.
“Everyone is out there trying their best,” she stated.
The entire staff is fatigued from having to do a little bit more because of the circumstances. But no one goes to really feel sorry for them.
