Karmelo Anthonys History of Alleged Violence Laid

The jury that convicted Karmelo Anthony of murdering 17-year-old Austin Metcalf never noticed the full image prosecutors had assembled of {the teenager} sitting at the protection desk.

And what is contained in those 75 pages is startling. According to prosecutors, Anthony repeatedly threatened people with shootings, mentioned robberies, was accused of assaulting his girlfriend, talked about bringing weapons to faculty and appeared in pictures and videos holding firearms. 

One video cited by prosecutors allegedly reveals Anthony pointing what seems to be a gun toward a home before working away. There are also messages attributed to Anthony describing what occurred when he grew to become offended.

•    “When I get mad i blackout.”

•    “When I get mad i cant control myself.”

•    “When I get mad my eyes change color.”

Those messages had been despatched more than a 12 months before the confrontation with Metcalf that ended in homicide.

The same December exchange allegedly included Anthony describing an assault on somebody who had posted online about “smoking” his cousin.

“He posted where he was at and we pulled up and got em,” Anthony wrote, according to the submitting.

By May 2024, according to prosecutors, the rhetoric had escalated into specific threats involving weapons.

“im shooting her,” Anthony allegedly wrote about one girl.

Then got here an alleged risk against his girlfriend, Valeria Torres Perez.

“how many bullets uu want coming out of ur chest.”

Six days later, prosecutors say Anthony threatened her again: “imma beat ur a–.”

And it did not stop there. The submitting alleges that Anthony made further gun threats that September, used the phrase “gun to the head,” mentioned cutting somebody’s brake traces and later referenced “shooting something up,” gloves, rope and getting his palms on a “switch.”

A November 2024 video allegedly confirmed Anthony holding what appeared to be a firearm.

The allegations continued to pile up as the date of Metcalf’s killing approached.
