Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, claimed only Israel was the only nation succesful of preventing alongisde the United States.

While the assertion did not come immediately from Hegseth, Netanyahu spoke about it in a video circulating on social media. In it, he’s seen talking in Hebrew and saying, “He told me something interesting. He said to me, ‘We look at the world, and there are countries that have the will to fight alongside the United States, but they lack the capability. And there are countries that have the capability, but lack the will.’ He said, ‘Only in Israel do we see both the will and the capability.'”

Netanyahu visited the White House on Monday, marking his first in-person interplay with the president since the United States and Israel began the conflict in Iran in February.

During the journey, he also attended Senator Lindsey Graham’s funeral alongside other members of Trump’s cupboard.

After the assembly, Netanyahu also hit out at claims that he was influencing Trump’s selections about the conflict in Iran. On Tuesday, his workplace issued a assertion insisting the prime minister isn’t making an attempt to manipulate Trump to keep the U.S. at conflict with Iran.

The chief’s director of communications, Tzipi Hotovely, told reporters that there was “no truth in the claim” that Israel is making an attempt to get the U.S. to resume strikes.

“There is no truth in the claim that Israel is pushing the U.S. in a certain direction on the Iran issue,” Hotovely said.

“The prime minister is not telling the U.S. president what to do and is not pushing him in any direction. Both sides want to prevent Iran from having nuclear weapons. There are many ways to achieve this goal.”
