One reason Im not in EAs college football video…

Deion Sanders is not “in the game.”

That sport is EA Sports College Football 27, to be actual, and the reasoning behind that is probably going due to money, the Colorado football coach told reporters on Tuesday at Big 12 Media Day.

The Pro Football Hall of Famer then took a shot at the outlet — The Athletic — that had requested about it.

“I don’t know about the video games. I have a wonderful team that handles a lot of business for me. If I’m not in the game, that means they weren’t paying enough,” he said in response. “It probably didn’t fit where we’re going right now. That’s probably it. It was probably just that simplistic.”

Then he added the peculiar dig at the New York Times-owned media outlet.

“Thank you, Athletic, you guys are doing a wonderful job,” Sanders sarcastically said. “You know I’m lying, right?”

A spokesperson for EA told The Athletic that coaches are not paid to be in the video sport and that they’re included through “unpaid licenses.”

Since the favored college football video sport’s return in 2024 after an 11-year hiatus, the franchise has been a hit for the developer, and last 12 months marked the first time that real-life coaches have been included in the sport.

Bill Belichick from North Carolina, Miami’s Mario Cristobal, Iowa’s Kirk Ferentz, Utah State’s Bronco Mendenhall, Southern Miss’ Blake Anderson and North Texas’ Neal Brown are among the coaches who will also not be featured this 12 months.

Those coaches, along with Sanders, shall be changed by generic characters on the sideline.

Sanders is coming off a 3-9 season in Boulder, going 1-8 in convention play.
