Over 2M pounds of food recalled at Costco and Sam’s Club nationwide | Latest Lifestyle News
NEW YORK (PIX11) — A snack sold at Costco and Sam’s Club has been recalled as it may be contaminated with pieces of metal, according to the United States Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.
The recall impacts over 2 million pounds of ready-to-eat Korean barbecue pork jerky.
The jerky has “best by” dates ranging from Oct. 23 through Sept. 23, 2026. Impacted products include 14.5-oz. and 16-oz. plastic pouches containing GOLDEN ISLAND fire-grilled PORK JERKY Korean BARBECUE recipe.

The product, which was sold nationwide at Costco and Sam’s Club locations, has an establishment number M279A inside the USDA mark of inspection.
The department received multiple complaints from consumers who found wiry metal in the product. LSI, Inc. determined the metal was from the conveyor belt used in production.
