Ozzy Osbourne was apprehensive about returning to UK | Music News

In the new BBC documentary, Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home, Ozzy admitted he was undecided about one important factor before returning to the UK with his spouse Sharon Osbourne.

The Prince of Darkness died at the age of 76 of coronary heart failure at his England home on July 22, just two weeks after performing at Black Sabbath’s farewell live performance, Back to the Beginning, at Birmingham, England’s Villa Park.

On July 30, his spouse of more than 40 years and their three youngsters, Kelly, Jack, and Aimee, rode in his funeral procession in Birmingham and paid tribute to him alongside 1000’s of followers.

Just over two months after his death, followers have been granted a look inside Ozzy’s last three years of his life via the BBC as he struggled with his failing health amid his return to England.

But despite wanting to go home, Ozzy admitted in the documentary that he had his doubts about the transfer.

“I used to make a record, go on a promotional tour, and finish that – I’m f—— jet lagged – take a couple of weeks off, start the whole process again,” Ozzy said, reflecting on his decades-long profession.

Sharon requested her husband, “Do you want a quiet life now?” He replied, “No, yes, but no. Because we’re never quiet.” Sharon continued to ask, “But aren’t you fed up with the drama?”

He responded, “It comes with the territory.” Sharon added to the digital camera, “Yeah, we’re eccentric, we’re loud, we’re outspoken, but we’re quite normal, we’re quite boring really, when it comes down to it.”

However, Ozzy joked, “I wouldn’t say we’re f—— normal.”

Despite not wanting to let go of the “drama,” Ozzy did crave returning to the UK and Sharon made it potential for him by renovating their home.

Still, the couple’s youngsters had their doubts about the transfer, too.

Their daughter Kelly told cameras that despite considering her dad and mom shouldn’t be getting out of mattress to do something, she could not see them retiring. 

Kelly added that her dad and mom can be unhappy about being away from their household, including their 5 grandchildren.

Ozzy maintained that he never needed to be an American, so that they had to return. Meanwhile, Sharon added that it was up to Ozzy where he needed to end up and that she’d comply with him wherever he went.

She said, “I want everything to be right,” but their son Jack also said the transfer “comes at a hefty price,” that means they would not have each other anymore.

Sharon told him, “Ultimtely it’s down to your father’s happiness.”

Sharon added to the cameras, “It’s just time to go home.”

Before the transfer, Ozzy admitted to Kelly, “I’m kind of scared to go back, but I gotta go back.”

However, once he noticed the newly renovated home, Ozzy was impressed. Sharon requested what his decsion was, keep or go back and Ozzy replied, “Stay.”

Ahead of Black Sabbath’s farewell show, Ozzy said the efficiency can be “closure for me,” as he mirrored on his long profession. 

After the ultimate show, Ozzy said he may “retire with a clear conscious,” and regarded ahead to doing completely nothing with Sharon.
