Good Morning Britain got here to a halt as Charlotte Hawkins issued a devastating “breaking news” update. The presenter confirmed that police have named the 2 victims who died in the synagogue assault in Manchester on Thursday. 

Jihad Al-Shamie, who was carrying a vest which appeared like an explosive machine, carried out the horrific assault on Yom Kippur — the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.

Charlotte told viewers: “Breaking news now. Police have confirmed the identities of the victims in the Manchester synagogue terrorist attack.”

She handed over to correspondent Richard Gaisford, who reported live exterior Heaton Park Synagogue. He revealed the 2 victims have been Adrian Daulby, 53, and Melvin Cravitz, 66, both of whom got here from the Crumpsall space, a large Jewish group in the north of Manchester.
