Pack the Bags, Were Going on a Guilt Trip—the | Political News
If you grew up in a crimson state, and had conservative dad and mom, and had mates who thought that “woke” meant you bought out of mattress in the morning, then you won’t cotton to what I’m going to say.
To wit, the Democrat social gathering has used guilt as an extremely efficient weapon for generations, and it’s only with the introduction of Donald Trump that we’re seeing all kinds of people saying, “I’m not falling for it anymore.”
Don’t say that, or you might be racist, or anti-trans, or don’t care about marginalized people—or you’re, of course, a white supremacist. How dare you criticize our lawless cities, why aren’t you considering of the unhappy upbringing of the prison? Why aren’t you considering about the atmosphere when you’re taking a bathe, why are you having youngsters when the planet is in peril, and why are you criticizing the inhuman Hamas slaughter and rape of over a thousand Israelis on Oct. 7 when there are Gazans struggling as a end result of their savagery?
You may giggle and say, “I don’t feel guilty; to hell with them.” But the ruse has been remarkably efficient, and has led to the demise of California under uber-wokester Gavin Newsom, the virtually ruination of our nation under the feckless anti-American former president, Joe Biden, and the decline of most of our major cities as they descend into dystopian relics of what they once have been.
“Have compassion,” they are saying. But their “compassion”—which is in actuality tolerance for dangerous conduct and deterioration—has led us to where we’re today.
“Pack the bags, we’re going on a guilt trip,” actor Charlie Sheen once said in a film. No, I’m not going to focus on his troubles at this time—it was a good line, well-delivered:
It might not work on you, as I said, but it’s labored on a whole bunch of tens of millions of Americans, and it’s a major purpose why progressivism has virtually destroyed our nation. Why else but guilt and “compassion” would a once-proud beacon of our nation like California tolerate—nay, endorse—over 120,000 people sleeping on its streets on any given night time?
Why would we let New York City be plagued by criminals who have been caught and arrested 5, ten, twelve occasions, yet are still roaming around as free as birds? Because if you said, “lock them up and throw the key in the East River,” you‘d be guilty of so many thought-crimes—intolerance, elitism, nativism, “America First-ism,” you identify it.
I didn’t grow up in a crimson state, and I’ve been surrounded by leftists my total life. The New York Times was one thing to be revered—it got here each morning, and the newsprint smelled great, and the pages have been stuffed with news of the world, and there have been dashing reporters with cool names like R.W. Apple who introduced you all the news that was match to print.
I grew up in Chicago, New York City, then went to Boston for faculty. A digital tour of Democrat politics. But I defied expectations and went to North Carolina for school—a place in Durham called Duke, which was not almost so esteemed (or woke) as it’s now, or I can guarantee I might never have been accepted.
As a younger graduate, I moved to Los Angeles, because it appeared like The Dream—and you realize what? It was. It was a great place to live; a vibrant, thrilling metropolis that was every little thing I believed it was going to be.
But then they ruined it.
At some level, I’m not sure when, I spotted I used to be different. I used to be homosexual.
No, I child—but changing into a conservative in a blue space is the new homosexual. In a place like LA, where I had to assume about my youngsters and their futures, it was best to keep closeted. The intolerance is real, and it’s harsh, and the penalty is cancellation.
I’ve paid a price for popping out:
True Confessions of a RedState Writer on Our twentieth Birthday
I joke with my spouse, who as an unabashed conservative, legal immigrant, and Chair of the LA GOP who has given me the strength to converse out—that I’ve two angels sitting on my shoulders as I write. One, the crimson man, says, “Say it! You know you think it.” The blue one, on my left shoulder, of course, says, “You can’t say that! It’ll hurt somebody’s feelings! What do you mean, you don’t believe in DEI? Are you racist? How can you say trans dudes shouldn’t play in women’s sports—what about our friends in the Community?!”
When I first joined RedState, I debated at size whether or not to use my identify. I made a decision yes, it’s time to stand for what I consider—blue angel be damned.
The blue angel has introduced nothing but distress, decline and tragedy to our nation, all in the identify of “compassion” and guilt.
I don’t consider in cults of persona, and I feel Donald Trump is just a man, a human, with flaws like any other. That being said, he has introduced a change that I might only dream of on that horrible morning when I woke up to the news that Joe Biden had miraculously gained the presidential election despite the fact that he was behind when most people went to mattress.
We paid a heavy price for that. Much of that loss will be attributed to guilt and fake compassion—we’re killing the planet, we’re racists, we don’t care about the downtrodden—but that home of playing cards is now falling. Real compassion means caring for the law-abiding residents, making sure our youngsters are protected on the streets, managing our assets in an efficient method, and not permitting human tragedy to happen at our southern border on a daily foundation.
It’s time for grownup reasoning to carry the day, instead of permitting the stoned college-freshman-like wide-eyed ideology of Nancy Pelosi, Gavin Newsom, Chuck Schumer, Tim Walz and Kamala Harris et. al. to run amok.
We’ve seen what they’ve wrought, and it’s time to kick their Guilt Philosophy and its systemic failures to the curb, once and for all.
