Patriots defensive deal with Christian Barmore had his arraignment for a home assault case postponed until after Super Bowl 2026 on Feb. 8.
The legal continuing was initially scheduled for Feb. 3, but a choose authorised a request from Barmore’s attorney last week to have it moved to March 9, the Boston Globe reported — a date properly clear of New England’s Feb. 8 Super Bowl 2026 date with the Seahawks.
Barmore’s attorney David E. Meier wrote in the movement that he “requires additional time to discuss the matter with Mr. Barmore and to properly and responsibly prepare for the arraignment hearing.”

Barmore is accused by a girl, recognized as somebody that was relationship the NFL participant and shares a 2-year-old daughter with him, of grabbing her and pushing her to the ground, and when she tried to get up, he grabbed her by her shirt close to her neck.

The legal development comes weeks after a choose granted a postponement to Patriots receiver Stefon Diggs, shifting his arraignment for an alleged assault of his personal chef, to Feb. 13.
Meier denied the accusations on behalf of Barmore in a assertion launched in December.

“We are confident that the evidence will demonstrate that no criminal conduct took place,” the assertion read. “Based on the facts and the law, we expect that this personal matter will be resolved in the near future and both parties will move forward together.”
The Patriots, at the time, said they have been “aware” of the incident.
“The Patriots were made aware at the time of the incident and informed the NFL in a timely manner. The matter remains part of an ongoing legal process,” the staff said in half. “We will respect that process, continue to monitor the situation closely, as we have over the past few months, and cooperate fully with the league. We will have no further comment at this time.”
Barmore was drafted by the Patriots in 2021 and began 16 of 17 video games during the 2025 season.
