Pentagon accuses ex-Air Force Secretary of leaking | Political News

Officials within the Pentagon have accused a former secretary of the Air Force of leaking categorized data about Air Force One to reporters.

It was reported on Friday that the Pentagon had revoked ex-Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall’s capability to access categorized data and his capability to “hold any sensitive position.” Taking to X, Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell wrote, “Effective immediately, the Department of War has REVOKED former Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall’s eligibility for access to classified information and his ability to hold any sensitive position.”

“This action follows his unauthorized disclosure of classified information regarding Air Force One’s capabilities to a media outlet,” Parnell continued. “Safeguarding classified information is a non-negotiable duty.”
