Perfect Netflix period drama leaves viewers in | TV Shows

Netflix viewers are being moved to tears by a poignant period drama.

All The Light We Cannot See, a restricted collection that premiered in 2023 on Netflix, tells the gripping story of a blind teenage lady, Marie-Laure, and her father, Daniel LeBlanc, as they flee German-occupied Paris with a invaluable diamond in their possession.

The collection is an adaptation of Anthony Doerr’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel and boasts a star-studded solid including Aria Mia Loberti as Marie-Laure and Avengers star Mark Ruffalo as Daniel LeBlanc. Other notable solid members embody Hugh Laurie as Uncle Etienne, Louis Hofmann as Werner, Lars Eidinger as Von Rumpel and Marion Bailey as Madame Manec.

Netflix’s synopsis reads, “Relentlessly pursued by a cruel Gestapo officer who seeks to possess the stone for his own selfish means, Marie-Laure and Daniel soon find refuge in St. Malo, where they take up residence with a reclusive uncle who transmits clandestine radio broadcasts as part of the resistance.

“Yet right here in this once-idyllic seaside metropolis, Marie-Laure’s path also collides inexorably with the unlikeliest of kindred spirits: Werner, a good teenager enlisted by Hitler’s regime to monitor down unlawful broadcasts, who instead shares a secret connection to Marie-Laure as effectively as her religion in humanity and the likelihood of hope.”
