This wasn’t Zalatoris’ first encounter with the injury, as he’d beforehand undergone surgical procedure in April 2023. The American’s 2023 injury occurred following his victory at the 2022 FedEx St. Jude Championship.

During his rehabilitation period, Zalatoris packed on 20 lbs and revealed his reasoning behind the choice to add muscle mass.
