PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp is “interested in whatever” makes the circuit more aggressive amid hypothesis Bryson DeChambeau might return from LIV Golf.

LIV Golf has been firmly in the highlight lately after executives have been summoned to an emergency assembly, fueling hypothesis that the league’s future could also be in doubt. Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) is reportedly weighing whether or not to end its financial backing for LIV Golf after 2026, raising questions about the league’s viability after investing over $5 billion since 2022.

Cracks in the muse of LIV Golf started to emerge in January at the start of the 2026 season. Both Brooks Koepka and Patrick Reed rejoined the PGA Tour following the expiration of their contracts, and other names might observe – significantly with the future of LIV Golf unsure.

DeChambeau, who pulled out of LIV Golf Mexico City due to a wrist injury while Jon Rahm secured his second victory of the season, allegedly thought of choices past departing LIV Golf during Masters week. “So we’re considering about it. We’ll react when now we have an alternative to react, but proper now, we’re centered on making the PGA Tour better. But hear, I’ve said it publicly, and I’ll say it again, I’m in whatever makes the PGA Tour better. That’s what my job is, that’s what I’m in doing, and that has no restrict, so that’s how I’ll focus on it.”

Ultimately, Rolapp leaned on his NFL background to explain why LIV Golf’s existence has aided the PGA Tour. He added: “Look, I believe LIV did what the USFL did for the NFL years in the past, principally competitors make it better. Whenever you get competitors, you end up determining what you do effectively, what you do not do effectively, and that’s what LIV did – expose some issues that the PGA Tour might do better.”

“How we are able to make it better for skilled golfers, for our tv companions, and that’s a good factor… LIV did the skilled golf world a favor in a lot of methods.”

“But again, I spend most of my time now considering about the PGA Tour and how we do these issues better, and so I believe the future is actually shiny for us, and I believe it is shiny for skilled golf. I believe the PGA Tour bought to showcase how a lot better it’s, too, through this.”
