Last season, his first since being drafted No. 9 general by the Pirates out of high college in 2024, Griffin hit .333/.415/.527 with 21 home runs and 65 stolen bases across three minor league ranges. 

Despite his age, the Pirates are presently contemplating placing Griffin on their Opening Day roster.
