Emergency companies responded to a report of a aircraft skidding off the runway at Bowman Field in Louisville Oct. 7, a MetroProtected spokesperson confirmed.
According to the Louisville Regional Airport Authority, a Cessna 525B “exited” Runway 33 while touchdown around 10:15 a.m. and got here to a stop on the close by Seneca Golf Course, which is almost 370 ft past the runway’s end.
The two pilots and two passengers who have been on the plane have been alert and talking with airport workers after the incident, spokesperson Natalie Chaudoin said. No accidents have been reported.
Louisville Regional Airport Authority Public Safety Department, Louisville Metro Police, fire and emergency medical companies responded to the scene.
The plane, which isn’t based at Bowman Field, was headed to Louisville on a scheduled flight, Chaudoin said.
Runway 15/33 at Bowman Field is quickly closed, but Runway 6/24 is open for plane operations, she said.
