Todd Tucker is getting candid about the sophisticated aftermath of his Kandi Burruss divorce, admitting issues bought “dark” and “lonely” while revealing there’s one half of his former household life he’s relieved to go away in the past. “I was trying to prove myself to somebody who didn’t like me,” said the Til Divorce Do Us, Part creator.
In a current interview with Page Six, Tucker mirrored on the loneliness he skilled after his marriage ended. As beforehand reported, he and Kandi Burruss announced their divorce in Nov. 2025 after 11 years of marriage, with the divorce finalized in 2026. Tucker said he spent a lot of time alone and in his head, questioning what occurred to the household life he had constructed.
In this viral clip, Tucker reveals their divorce took a “dark” & “lonely” toll on him.
“I’m gonna be honest, when we separated, I stayed in the guesthouse, which is just me in this big house by myself. My kids and the family are next door, and it was a lot of alone time,” Tucker, 53, told Page Six.
“It was a lot of time in my head, thinking, trying to figure out, ‘What did I just do? What just happened? Did I lose my family?’ So I’m gonna be honest, I had nobody really to lean on.”
Todd wenton to share some darkish ideas and even suicidal ideations when going through the divorce.
“I looked at my gun,” Tucker said while describing how low he bought during that period.
He added that he doesn’t imagine actuality tv was solely accountable for the break up, but he acknowledged that it “played a part.” He also said he tried to work through the issues in the wedding — including suggesting therapy — before finally accepting that issues weren’t going to continue the way in which he had hoped.
