Prince William gushes over American Pie movies to | TV Shows

Prince William admitted to being a big fan of the American Pie franchise.

The Prince of Wales appeared on the third season of Eugene Levy’s Apple TV+ collection, The Reluctant Traveler. The episode, Living the Royal Life in the U.Okay., premiered on Friday, Oct. 3 on the streaming service. Within the episode, William talked about his upbringing, his household life, and his future imaginative and prescient for the monarchy presently and when he turns into king.

Ahead of the indepth dialog, William shared he was a major fan of the raunchy teen comedy movies that Eugene was aside of. The Schitt’s Creek protrayed protagonist Jim Levenstein’s dad, Noah Levenstein. 

“I heard you were in town, so I thought, why not get you over here? I was a big fan of your earlier films, Eugene, all the American Pies,” William said. 

 “I’m afraid I was, I was of that generation,” he added. 

Eugene requested the royal who he went and noticed American Pie with, and William replied, “Lots of my friends.”

The first American Pie launched in 1999, and it adopted a group of highschool college students, who made a pact to lose their virginity before graduating. The coming-of-age intercourse comedy spawned a franchise with three following theatrical sequels (American Pie 2, American Wedding, and American Reunion) and 5 direct-to-videos spinoff movies (Band Camp, The Naked Mile, Beta House, The Book of Love, and Girls’ Rules). The ninth movie, Girls’ Rule, was the only one in the franchise not to characteristic Eugene.

Eugene and William went to a local pub as they continued their dialog in the episide, While the duo sat at the pub with a pint of beer each, they spoke about the health standing of William’s spouse, Kate Middleton, and his father, King Charles. Both Kate and Charles have been recognized with an undisclosed type of cancer in early 2024.

Kate announced in January 2025 she was in remission from cancer and Charles is at present still present process treatement. 

Eugene requested how they have been doing and William responded, “Things are good. Everything is progressing in the right way, which is all good news. But, it’s been, I’d say 2024 was the hardest year that I’ve ever had. Trying to sort of balance protecting the children, Catherine. My Father needs a bit of protection, but he’s, you know, he’s old enough to do that himself as well.”

“But it’s important my family feel protected and have the space to process a lot of the stuff that’s gone on last year, and that was tricky trying to do that and keep doing the job,” he continues. “But you know, we all have challenges that come our way and it’s important to keep going,” he continued.
