“Tape down your edges!” That’s the advice (*4*)Emayatzy Corinealdi has for BOSSIP readers amid the release of the Reasonable Doubt season 4 trailer, which confirms who took a bullet during that surprising taking pictures.

In the trailer for the sequence returning Oct. 6 on Hulu, viewers study that Jax Stewart (Corinealdi) was shot after a vengeful Monica (Brandee Evans) stormed into The Stewart Firm and pulled the set off.
Jax is seen mendacity unconscious in a hospital mattress as Corey Cash (Morris Chestnut) urges her to keep preventing.
“I don’t know if you can hear me or not, but I need you to fight,” Corey tells her. “Fight like I know your a** loves to do!”
Lewis (McKinley Freeman) is also by Jax’s facet and refuses to imagine this might be the end.
“This is not the end of your story,” he says. “It can’t be.”
And while Jax’s destiny hangs in the steadiness, main woman Emayztzy Corinealdi told BOSSIP that the taking pictures will pressure her character to confront trauma.
The Stewart Firm Is Already Facing Trouble
As if the taking pictures wasn’t enough, there’s bother brewing at Jax’s newly minted law firm.
“Our old firm is already trying to poach our biggest client,” Krystal Walters (Angela Grovey) says in the trailer referencing Bill Sterling (Joseph Sikora).
That shopper is Eric Cropper, performed by new sequence common Durrell “Tank” Babbs, a super-wealthy R&B artist and longtime shopper of Jax who finds himself at the middle of a spiraling media catastrophe.

The high-profile case brings a quantity of new faces into Jax’s already difficult orbit, including Eric’s two wives.
La La Anthony performs his first spouse, Melina Cropper, who’s described as “ride or die until she’s not,” while Beauty in Black’s Taylor Polidore Williams performs Brooke Cropper, his calculating second spouse who’s methodically making ready for a heated divorce.

Meagan Good also joins the forged as Regina Harris, the new district attorney who’s good, compassionate, and “nobody’s fool.”

Rutina Wesley stars as Desiree Grant, a no-nonsense leisure journalist recognized for fearlessly exposing problematic high-profile figures, while DeVaughn Nixon performs Eric’s youthful brother and A&R supervisor, Tyger Cropper.
Alexxis Lemire rounds out the new additions as Layla Love, a singer signed to Eric’s document label.
Emayatzy Corinealdi Says Jax Was Ready To Bet On Herself
Before a bullet put every thing in jeopardy, Jax was getting into a major new chapter by leaving her previous firm behind and launching The Stewart Firm.
Emayatzy Corinealdi told BOSSIP that Jax’s new firm marks her finally placing the boldness she’s always had in herself into motion.
“The thing that I love about Jax is that she always believed that, ‘I am her. I am she. I am the thing. I am the glue that’s holding this whole thing together,’” she said.
According to Corinealdi, Jax knew she was delivering outcomes while sitting “amongst all of these older white men” without receiving the credit she deserved.
“I think she finally decided to truly bet on herself,” she told BOSSIP. “It was a long time coming.”
Having her own firm also provides Jax the chance to observe law on her own phrases and create the sort of office she desires.
“She was always very unapologetic even when she was there at the firm, but now it’s even more so,” said Corinealdi. “There’s a level of ownership, of comfort that’s there, of ease.”

Season 4 picks up immediately after Monica’s surprising taking pictures at the end of season three.

As beforehand reported, Monica blamed Jax for what occurred to former baby star Ozzie Edwards (Kyle Bary), whom Jax defended after he was accused of murdering his girlfriend.
Jax finally uncovered that Ozzie had been abused by Monica, his longtime supervisor, contributing to his struggles with habit. Ozzie was discovered not guilty but later died from an overdose, sending Monica spiraling and finally main her to The Stewart Firm with a gun.
Now, the taking pictures’s ripple results are poised to shake Jax’s household, her colleagues, and the firm she labored so exhausting to construct.
And if that seems like a lot, Corinealdi is warning followers that it’s only the start.
“Tape down your edges,” she told BOSSIP with a giggle. “Tape them down. Make sure they don’t go nowhere, because it’s about to be a ride, and it’s going to be a very heart-wrenching season.”
Reasonable Doubt season 4 premieres with three episodes Tuesday, Oct. 6, solely on Hulu, with new episodes dropping Thursdays through the Nov. 24 finale.
