Rory McIlroy has changed his tune on LIV Golf | Golf News

Rory McIlroy has been a vocal critic of LIV Golf since the rival league emerged to problem the PGA Tour, and he did not mince phrases after clinching the Tour Championship in 2022.

McIlroy, a steadfast PGA Tour member, has since softened his stance on LIV Golf as discussions about a potential merger continue. He even instructed that LIV Golf served as a “wake-up call” for the PGA Tour, which might show advantageous in the long run. However, back in 2022, many followers considered LIV Golf as a menace to the PGA Tour and the future of top-tier golf.

McIlroy lambasted gamers considering the swap and did not disguise his sentiments after outperforming LIV Golf opponents to win the Tour Championship. “It’s been a tumultuous time for the world of men’s professional golf in particular,” McIlroy stated. “I’ve been in the thick of issues.
