Samuel L. Jackson offered what followers are calling the “perfect reaction” after coming face to face with a life-sized determine of his beloved “Star Wars” character during opening night time gala of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art Saturday.
In a viral clip captured by Deadline, Jackson is seen strolling through one of the museum’s sprawling galleries before stopping lifeless in his tracks. Jackson then does a traditional double take at the Mace Windu determine, dressed in full Jedi robes, before breaking into a vast grin.
The Lucas Museum, based by legendary filmmaker George Lucas and his spouse Mellody Hobson, is devoted fully to the artwork of visible storytelling and will open its doorways to the public on Tuesday in Los Angeles’ historic Exposition Park.

The couple had tried to set up the museum in San Francisco and Chicago, but after going through legal and political hurdles in both cities, they finally landed in Los Angeles, according to the Deadline.
The company assembled on the museum’s rooftop at 9 p.m. for an extraordinary aerial spectacle produced by Nova Sky Stories and narrated live by Oprah Winfrey and Jackson.

The synchronized drone show, swirling above the group, depicted pop-culture icons like “Star Wars’” R2-D2 and Marvel’s Captain America, alongside tributes to celebrated positive artwork items including Banksy’s Girl with Balloon and the works of Frida Kahlo.
The opening night time drew a powerhouse lineup of industry legends including Steven Spielberg, Christopher Nolan, Francis Ford Coppola, Peter Jackson, Guillermo del Toro, Spike Lee, Denis Villeneuve, Ron Howard, Jon Favreau, Edgar Wright, Lee Daniels, John Landis, Jon M. Chu, Frank Miller, DB Weiss, David Benioff and Matthew Robbins.
The star-studded visitor checklist also featured Robert De Niro, Tyler Perry, Bryce Dallas Howard, Nathan Fielder, cinematographer Caleb Deschanel, producer Frank Marshall, and French artist JR. Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry had been also seen speaking to Bob Iger during the event.
The Lucas Museum focuses on visible storytelling across centuries, housing over 1,300 items on lively show across 30 galleries drawn from a whole assortment of around 40,000 works.
