Stephen Colbert issues blistering attack against | TV Shows

Stephen Colbert branded Robert F. Kennedy Jr a “roadkill-munching ludite” as he hit out at the new vaccine funding cuts.

The Health Secretary not too long ago announced $500 million value of cuts to the development of vaccines. RFK Jr announced on Tuesday 22 tasks developing mRNA vaccines can be halted.

Colbert was actually not glad with the news and shared his ideas on his late evening program. “Oh, there’s bad news for fans of living because Health Secretary RFK Jr just pulled $500 million in funding from vaccine development,” the TV host fumed.

Colbert continued, “Now, we have 10 more months of this show and I wanna give a measured, non-partisan response here.”

He paused briefly before savagely saying, “F— you, you roid-addled nepo carnie.”

When the viewers cheering died down, Colbert continued his speech. “Specifically, Bobby Jr is nixing 22 projects that use mRNA technology. But that’s the latest vaccine technology!” he warned.

As he mimed driving, Colbert added, “That’s like saying, ‘Kids, I’m turning off the GPS. We’re gonna make our way to Six Flags by using the stars. Hand daddy the sextant.'”

Fans again launched into applause, before the host added, “Now, yesterday, yesterday RFK Jr tried to defend the indefensible.”

The show then cut to a clip of RFK Jr saying, “Most of these shots are for flu or Covid, but as the pandemic showed us, mRNA vaccines don’t perform well against viruses that infect the upper respiratory tract.”

The video then cut to Colbert who clapped back, “Counterpoint. F— you, you roadkill-munching ludite human Slim Jim. You’re gonna kill people.”

A clip of the part was shared on Reddit and followers sided with Colbert. “Colbert is a lot funnier now that he doesn’t have to care what CBS thinks lol,” one fan wrote, referencing the cancellation of his late evening show.

A second particular person commented, “He says it with a smile but you can tell he cares. “You’re gonna kill people” came from a real place.”

“Colbert is quickly losing all filter and I can’t wait for him to go full on Howard Beale from Network,” another person praised. He’s acquired nothing to lose, so he’s just saying precisely what we’re all pondering and I’m loving it.”
