Stephen King, the famend writer of horror novels, has never been one to maintain back his ideas on President Donald Trump, who he had beforehand called a “horror story.”
King has been outspoken about his views on the current administration and hasn’t hesitated to share his opinions.
Even after addressing a joke that upset some followers who felt he was being “racist,” King stays unapologetic in his ongoing commentary and critique of the President’s insurance policies since his return to workplace in January.
During an interview on MSNBC’s Velshi, King expressed his latest worries.
In dialog with host Ali Velshi, King confessed there was one side of Trump that truly frightened him about the future, stories the Mirror US.
“The worst thing that I could think of is that this guy would get a third term because he’s basically an idiot, isn’t he?” he said. “I mean, he doesn’t read.”
King then revealed that what he discovered most terrifying about Trump was his perception that he can do no fallacious, labeling it as a “dangerous” trait for a President to possess.
“That is a dangerous thing,” he declared. “He is basically, I don’t want to use the word ‘crazy,’ because I don’t really think that he is, but he’s certainly dangerous.”
King had beforehand contemplated over the attainable endings he would write for the Trump presidency if it have been a story, stating that impeachment can be the only satisfying conclusion.
“I would love to see him retired, let’s put it that way,” he expressed. “The bad ending would be that he gets a third term and takes things over completely. It’s a horror story either way. Trump is a horror story, isn’t he?”.
This current remark from King follows an incident where he was labeled as “racist” for a joke he made about Trump on social media back in May.

At that time, he posted a joke on Instagram, “Why did Donald J. Trump cross the road? To see Haitians eating pets on the other side.”
The jest was a nod to a assertion made by the President during his marketing campaign, alleging that Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, have been consuming the pets of other local residents. Despite the backlash, both he and Vice President JD Vance, who hails from the state, stood by their assertions.
After receiving criticism for the joke, with some calling him racist, King returned to the app to defend himself, arguing that his critics misunderstood the goal of his humor.
“The joke was about Trump. If you don’t get that, you should see a doctor and get your sense of humor checked,” he retorted at the time.
He then adopted up with another post addressing other controversial false claims made during the marketing campaign.
“Anyone else notice how all of a sudden no one’s eating our cats and dogs anymore? No one’s performing sex change operations in schools or aborting babies after birth anymore,” he penned. “The price of eggs doesn’t matter and a recession isn’t a bad thing, it’s just a necessary growing pain.”
