Steve Young penned a tribute message to John Brodie on Sunday, two days after the previous 49ers quarterback handed away.
Young took to his Instagram web page to ship the homage, sharing a image of Brodie from his enjoying days with a touching caption.

“Sending love and prayers to his friends & family,” Young wrote beside the picture, which confirmed Brodie being carried off the sphere on the shoulders of others.
“What a legend ❤️.”
Brodie died on Friday at 90 years outdated.
Brodie joined the Niners in 1957 after he was taken with the No. 3 general choose in the draft, and he went on to play almost 20 years for the crew.

His best season got here in 1970, when he gained league MVP honors.
In saying Brodie’s passing, Niners co-chairman Dr. John York called him “one of the franchise’s all-time great players.”
