Strictly star rules out return after injury and says | UK News

La Voix seems to have ruled out a comeback on the Strictly dancefloor this yr. The RuPaul’s Drag Race star competed on the BBC ballroom show during the most latest sequence, where she was partnered with skilled dancer Aljaz Skorjanec, but was compelled to withdraw early after struggling a foot injury, reviews Wales Online.

Dani Dyer also had to bow out of the 2025 competitors through injury and will likely be given another alternative this yr to compete for the Glitterball trophy. However, La Voix has made clear she won’t be following go well with. She was quizzed about it during an look on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, with host Ed Balls asking her: “Why couldn’t you have a second go?”

“No, do you know what? I can’t…” she replied.

She quipped: “I cannot spend any more time with Aljaz trying to learn the cha cha cha. It was exhausting trying to get him to keep up with me. It really was.”

“I did my time,” La Voix continued. “We tried.”

The star also admitted she had been “gutted” not to obtain a call from BBC bosses following the departure of Strictly hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly from their presenting duties.

The duo announced last yr that they’d be leaving the programme at the conclusion of the 2025 sequence, and after months of widespread hypothesis it has since been confirmed that Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe will take over as the show’s new presenting trio.

La Voix told Ed and his fellow presenter Kate Garraway: “I would have loved… I made it no subtlety that I wanted to be a, a presenting role on Strictly. Of course I would have loved it. Did I get the call? No. Am I gutted? Absolutely.”

“I wish them all the best of luck on that show,” she continued. “I didn’t get the call, but I’d like to, of course.”

Celebrity hair stylist Chris Appleton, EastEnders actress Lacey Turner, singer-songwriter Delta Goodrem and former Love Islander Dani Dyer will all participate in the ballroom contest.

Good Morning Britain airs on ITV from 6am and Strictly is offered on BBC iPlayer.
