Strictly Come Dancing bosses are claimed to have axed three skilled dancers from the BBC programme. Show stars Gorka Marquez, 35, Luba Mushtuk, 36, Michelle Tsiakkas, 30, have reportedly been dropped from the line-up. The Spanish-born performer, who is engaged to actress and radio persona Gemma Atkinson, has since spoken out but didn’t handle the latest reviews. Instead, Gorka shared a post to mark International Women’s Day on Sunday (March 8).
In view of his 983,000 Instagram followers the skilled dancer took to his Stories and shared a candid message. In the black and white video, he started, “So today is International Women’s Day. So what is the best way to celebrate.”
Gorka panned the digital camera across the room to where his companion Gemma and two others might be seen, before including, “All the women in the house today… and Ryan.” His feedback was met with cheers, most notably from his other half.
The Strictly star was all smiles in the video.
Gorka first appeared on Strictly in 2016, and while he did not have a celeb companion last 12 months, he remained concerned in the routines and the ultimate show.
In late 2025, he balanced his UK position by working as a decide on the Spanish model of the show, Bailando con las Estrellas.
Luba joined the collection in 2018, while Michelle joined in 2022.
According to The Sun, major adjustments are happening at the second while the dancers are having conferences about their contracts, but it is said that bosses are eager for a “fresh start” and they need to convey new people in to create “a new era”.

The transfer comes following the departure of Strictly hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman who stepped down from their roles last 12 months.
The pair had labored together as the hosts of the show for over a decade, with Tess internet hosting since the show first started in 2004.
