Fox News host Mark Levin was slammed for his feedback about Donald Trump live on-air.

He acknowledged, “They wave out the Constitution. These people who hate the Constitution. They say the Constitution says you possibly can’t go to struggle without our approval. So they’re illiterate on top of every little thing else. Where does the Constitution say that? Which body of the Constitution says that? None of them.”

It comes as the White House commended the U.S. House of Representatives for defeating an effort to block President Donald Trump’s attack in Iran, following the collapse of a similar proposal in the Senate.

The House narrowly shot down a war powers resolution 219-212 – a largely symbolic move that probably wouldn’t have survived a Trump veto.

But Democrats slammed the president for launching strikes without Congress and questioned whether the U.S. really faced an “imminent” threat that justified going it alone. The U.S. and Israel carried out the military action last Saturday, and the length of the conflict is still unclear.

In a statement after Thursday’s House vote, the White House said: “Congress has reaffirmed the Commander-in-Chief’s Constitutional authority to defend the American people from the Iranian regime’s murderous ambitions and imminent threats.”

On Thursday at the White House, Trump said the US was striking Iranian drone and missile capabilities “every single hour.

“So they have no air force, they have no air defence,” he said. “All of their airplanes are gone, their communications are gone.”

Trump said Iran was “calling and saying how do we make a deal,” as he added, “I say you’re being a little bit late. We want to fight now more than they do.”
