Tense Moment in Hur Interview When Attorney | Political News

We reported earlier how some of the audio from Special Counsel Robert Hur crew’s interview with Joe Biden had been launched by Alex Thompson, one of the authors of the new ebook about Biden, “Original Sin.”

That audio phase dealt with how confused Biden was, even over such a pivotal second as when his son died. As chances are you’ll recall, Biden later did not inform the reality and attacked the Hur crew for mentioning his son, but the audio exhibits that yes, certainly, it was Biden who introduced up his son.

Biden also had confusion over issues like when President Donald Trump first took workplace. 

It’s one factor studying Biden’s phrases, it is fairly one other factor listening to them–and listening to how confused he’s. No marvel they did not need to release the audio.

Biden Reacts to the Hur Report and It’s a Horror Show of Confusion, With a Damning Admission

Now, two different components of the audio have been launched by co-authors Thompson and Jake Tapper, including a tense second where Biden’s attorney, Bob Bauer, intervenes to help him when Biden was requested about an Afghanistan labeled memo discovered at his home. Biden’s mind seems like it’s full mush. 

“Was this something you consciously kept after your term as Vice President?” Biden was requested.  

Though amiable, the interview grew to become considerably tense when Biden attorney Bob Bauer chastised prosecutor Krickbaum in this exchange over why Biden had stored a memo about Afghanistan.

“Your answer is that you don’t know,” Bauer instructed the president.

Biden says he does not recall, and he does not even appear to perceive that the memo was discovered at his home.

You can hear him being suggested, “Your answer is you don’t recall,” by Bauer, after Biden begins to speculate. 

But then, Biden responds, “I guess I wanted to hang onto it just for posterity’s sake.” 

That, of course, might expose him to issues. Bauer intervened, telling the prosecutor, Krickbaum:

“I just really would like to avoid, for the purpose of a clean record, getting into speculative areas.… He does not recall specifically intending to keep this memo after he left the vice presidency. I want these questions to be as clearly entered and as recorded on the transcript as possible.”

Krickbaum then took a break. 

Part of the issue you possibly can hear in the audio above is how Biden goes off about technology that has nothing at all to do with what he is being requested about. He had a number of moments like that, including speaking about Mongolia: 

Throughout his interview, Biden sounded more like a nostalgic, grandfatherly storyteller than a potential defendant who may very well be accused of hoarding secret papers.
He waxed on about a number of topics including capturing a bow and arrow in Mongolia.

It was actually scary that we have been left in this place, with this man occupying the Oval Office.
