No. 4 Texas’ 24-23 come-from-behind win over No. 1 Ohio State on Saturday evening in Austin, Texas was a showdown that was full of drama.
But there was a different type of drama at different factors of the evening between ESPN sideline reporters and Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian.
At the end of Texas’ thrilling win, Hollie Rowe was trying to start an interview with Sarkisian.

As Rowe began to ask her first query, Sarkisian already was speaking and yelled: Go Texas, combat! Let’s go Texas, combat! Hook ’em,” and walked away to rejoice with his staff and Rowe didn’t appear amused.
This adopted a first-half incident where ESPN’s other sideline reporter, Laura Rutledge, tried to interview Sarkisian, but the community was having technical difficulties and the Texas head coach couldn’t wait longer and had to speak to his staff who was going through a big 20-3 first-half deficit.
During that second, Rutledge acknowledged that Sarkisian had been ready a while and didn’t blame the coach for not ready to be interviewed.
Rutledge finally spoke with Sarkisian after Texas got here out of the locker room to start the second half and clarified what occurred at halftime.
