BBC The One Show’s Watchdog has revealed it’s broadening its roster of investigators.

The beloved phase, regarded as one of Britain’s most trusted client manufacturers, is set to welcome two new faces who will movie alongside established hosts Matt Allwright and Nikki Fox.

BBC viewers shall be launched to BAFTA-winning presenter and client journalist Nick Stapleton, as properly as Manchester-based broadcaster and documentary maker Amber Haque.

The pair will inject contemporary experience into the sequence, with Nick’s debut report due to air during Wednesday’s (May 27) episode of The One Show.

He added: “My parents aren’t around any more, so there is a real poignancy in joining Watchdog, a programme that was such a huge part of our lives. I truly believe in public service broadcasting and it’s a privilege to join Matt, Nikki and Amber to continue that legacy.”

Meanwhile, Amber, whose portfolio encompasses BBC Three documentaries, massively in style podcasts and worldwide productions, said: “I grew up watching The One Show and Watchdog and so much of my work now looks at how digital culture and modern systems are affecting people’s lives.

“What makes Watchdog so particular is how it holds energy to account while staying human and accessible, so it is a actually thrilling second to be becoming a member of the crew.”
