The Walking Dead star Kelley Mack has died at the age of 33 following a battle with cancer. Her death was confirmed in an Instagram post on her web page, studying: “It is with indelible sadness that we are announcing the passing of our dear Kelley. Such a bright, fervent light has transitioned to the beyond, where we all eventually must go. Kelley passed peacefully on Saturday evening with her loving mother, Kristen, and steadfast aunt Karen present. Kelley has already come to many of her loved ones in the form of various butterflies. She will be missed by so many to depths that words cannot express.”
The star was best recognized for her position as Addy in season 9 of the favored zombie collection The Walking Dead. Her character “appeared on the show for a year between 2018 – 2019. Other TV roles included parts in 9-1-1, Chicago Med and The College Tapes.
She also made a mark playing Alice in Broadcast Signal Intrusion and Penelope Jacobs in Season 8 of Chicago Med.
Earlier this year, she starred alongside Inbetweeners actor Joe Thomas in the comedy drama movie Universal.
She only revealed her diagnosis with a rare form of cancer last September. She said she was undergoing aggressive treatment.
Taking to social media at the time, she said: “I’ve been identified with #diffusemidlineglioma, an extraordinarily uncommon kind of #astrocytoma #cancer.”
